Dildo: A Place to Call Home?

There's a small town located off the Newfoundland coast called Dildo. The town was named long before the popular sex toy hit the market, but now that the five-letter word has taken on a dirty meaning, snickering tourists make special trips just to say they've been to Dildo and back. The ridicule doesn't sit well with some residents, while others don't let it bother them much. What do you think: Is Dildo a place to call home, or should the town rename itself?

    Interesting - www.wikipedia.org

The word "dildo" originally referred to the phallus-shaped peg used to lock an oar in position on a dory (small boat). It would be inserted into a hole on the side of the boat, and is very similar in shape to the modern toy. It is highly likely the toy takes its name from this sailing tool, which also lends its name to the town of Dildo and the nearby Dildo Island in Newfoundland, Canada.

lol I'm such a nerd. Laughing out loud
