What's a fab life in the city without an easy way to make restaurant reservations?
OpenTable, the website that made my life easier years ago when they let me make online reservations for dining out pleased me again a few months ago when it became
mobile-browser friendly, but it has outdone itself this time with an iPhone App of the same name.
It's free and does just what the website does — and is actually even better, because it can utilize the iPhone's GPS and tell you the nearest 20 restaurants!

Who loves black and white photography? The correct answer is: EVERYONE loves black and white photography!
Now you can shoot in romantic shades of gray on your iPhone — with the App
Vint B&W.

One of my favorite sites (and lifesavers) has been
Remember the Milk. I've raved about the text messaging reminders, and the fact that you can create custom lists and share them with others, which has made my life so much easier. Especially since I have trouble remembering when to take the trash out.

I love graphs, I love statistics, and I loooove coffee. I do want to know how much I drink coffee and spend on it — especially when, late morning, I'm vibrating in my office chair and typing and talking extremely fast.
Welcome to my life
CoffeeNut (just $1 at the App Store).

Yesterday, I got an early look at the newest games slated to hit the iPod Touch and iPhone this Fall and Winter. I was pretty impressed with the graphics and low learning curve it took just to pick up and play these newest games, but to be honest, they're going to have to compete with
Spore Origins for my coveted iPhone play time! New titles include an awesome mobile version of Need for Speed, which looked like a blast to play, as well as a cute platformer called Rolando that has your character rolling along a course, which was totally reminiscent of the super-cute PSP game I loved called
LocoRoco.

Fans of retro styling and modern electronics, this one's for you: The 99-cent
Flip Clock app is an adorable vintage clock that, yes, flips like an actual old flip clock to tell you the time.
It's probably easier to just read the clock on your iPhone's home screen, but I quite like the idea of propping your phone up with Flip Clock on and just pretending it's your actual clock. Without the loud flipping sound.

For phones like the
T-Mobile G1, which run on the Android OS, you can now pimp out your new phone with lots of great apps since the Android Market site
is now live and open for business. Think of it like the iTunes Application Store for the iPhone, except on a much smaller scale — it'll vamp up in due time.
The apps available on the site right now are free to download and starting Monday, developers can go wild and upload their own software (after paying a $25 fee).

Do you live in fear of speeding tickets? I no longer drive, but when I did, they were the bane of my existence. Too bad I wasn't a driver in the time of the iPhone, because
Trapster is the latest app that I'm declaring brilliant.

Why yes, I have been looking for an excuse to put my iPhone in my mouth, Harmonica iPhone App guy! The
Harmonica iPhone App — silly pitches aside — is a totally hilarious new addition to the App Store, and sort of unbelievable.
To make music out of your "harmonica" you just put your phone up to your mouth and move it around as you (sort of) would a real harmonica.

With the
Presidential Election just 32 days away, techies like myself are already gearing up for the big day with useful geek goodies like the
Election 08 application for the iPhone; which shows me real time results from the polls. It's been a few weeks since I've perused on over to the election section in the iTunes app store, and I must admit, they've totally pimped it out with new campaign apps like "Obama '08" and "DaysTo Election Day 2008."
So if you're glued to your iPhone as much as me, and want to stay up-to-date with all the election happenings, I suggest heading over to the app store pronto!
