I'm one of the few who thinks there's nothing wrong with giving a gift card (especially because I love to get gift cards). If you have some reservations about them being boring gifts, then you may reconsider — Target is introducing
gift cards that double as mini digital cameras, while Best Buy will have
gift cards that are also speakers!
With such fun stuff built into the gift cards, you may not want to redeem them.

There's not only one new handset rumored to be making its way to Best Buy on October 26, but two! The festive red BlackBerry 8200 Pearl Flip will be available to purchase on the 26, and the sold out HTC G1 will be arriving in Best Buy stores on the 26, but will make its big retail debut on November 16.
It is also rumored that you'll be able to
pick up an unlocked Palm Treo Pro on October 26 as well.

When I heard that
Best Buy was buying the flailing Napster for $121 Million, I had to remind myself that yes, Napster has been around in a completely legal incarnation for the past few years. But let's be real — Napster's glory days were 1999-2000, when it popped up as the first really mainstream file-sharing network, only to be slammed down, of course, by angry artists like Dr. Dre and Metallica.

We knew it was coming, we just didn't know when! Well starting today, you can now pick up an iPhone 3G at Best Buy — the
first independent US retailer to carry the iPhone 3G. And supposedly you'll be able to get your phone and email setup for free, in-store as well (you can currently only get this at the Apple retail stores), that is if you purchase one of the four accessory packages (starting at $106).

A Best Buy salesman rounds a corner and discovers three teenyboppers having a good ol' blast with the car stereo equipment on display. The girls find a tune, crank up the volume, get their bounce on, and have a party — in the middle of the aisle. Mr.

Now that the
war between HD DVD and Blu-ray is finally over, I bet you're still wondering what to do with that dummy DVD player that you sunk your cold hard cash into. Thankfully, there is a silver lining to your HD DVD raincloud. For all you hard core Best Buy customers, rejoice!
Liz Claiborne Accessories
has announced it is teaming up with Best Buy to introduce a new line of consumer electronic accessories. Apparently, the line will combine "Liz Claiborne's classic design and signature accents" with "Best Buy's industry expertise and customer-focused philosophy to create a collection of consumer electronic accessories perfect for the stylish woman on-the-go."
Best Buy currently sells a small
selection of Liz Claiborne items, but the new line will feature a larger mix of laptop bags and sleeves, business totes, cell phone cases, MP3 cases and camera cases.

This kid is unaware that his lip-syncing performance to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" is being filmed. I love how he starts off not really knowing the lyrics, and then kinda "breaks it down" Freddie Mercury style at the end. (Added bonus: he does it with a full mouth of metal.) Meanwhile, the mundane activity of Best Buy checkouts continues in the background.
