I'm all for injecting a little humor into the otherwise stodgy, conservative ritual of getting hitched, but these cakes and decorations cause me to scratch my head rather than bust a gut. Lack of planning, perhaps. In which case, the moral of this story is: Don't wait until the last minute to choose your cake.

The bride below wanted to have her cake and look like it, too. The resemblance is uncanny, but unless the groom is Hannibal Lecter, who'd really want a bite of that. Ah yes, the mother-in-law.

Some of these wedding cakes are really cute. (I heart the groom playing piano for his bride with cats at his feet.) The weird cake that takes the cake, in my opinion: Super Mario Brothers and The Princess. Wha??
