A beaming Kelly Brook has been working a variety of hair looks around London recently. While
rehearsing her role in the Fat Pig play, Kelly has been spotted out and about with flowing wavy brunette locks as well as a leopard print hat over textured hair. Today she's gone for a severe middle parting and tied back hair.

Marshmallows always make me think of winter and roasting them on an open fire (who needs chestnuts?). However, it may come as a surprise to learn that marshmallow is a fantastic hair healer too.
This plant is native to Europe and naturalised in the marshes of eastern North America.

I owe any hair successes and failures from my college years to the
Bumble and Bumble University's Model Project. I'd offer my hair up to stylists from around the country learning how to do updos using hair powder. Afterward, I'd roll into my Gender, Economics and the Media class with a full-on bouffant.

I think it started after seeing a super fiery haired
Lily Cole on the cover of French Playboy. However, it could have been spotting trademark redhead Karen Elson
strutting her stuff at the Zac Posen show in New York, that made me want to dye my hair red. Either way, I'm seriously considering becoming a
Jessica Rabbit lookalike for autumn.

Here's a silver lining to the dark cloud that is the economy: This Saturday, you can get a student haircut for just $5 — and your donation will raise money to help stop domestic abuse. Empire Education Group, a chain of cosmetology schools, is raising money for local women's shelters and for Cut It Out, an arm of the Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund nonprofit. All proceeds from hair, skin, and nail services — not just the $5 specials — will go to fund this cause.

While my partner in crime was busy with
fashion, at
Manchester Fashion Weekend, I managed to sneak backstage to get the lowdown on some of the fantastic hair looks. Joshua Robinson from
Headmasters was the hair maestro behind the modern messy styles and he shared his inspiration for the shows.
For the best looks from the shows and Sean's pick of the products to re-create these styles, simply :
- How do the hair styles work with the 5 quite different looks?

You may be forgiven for focusing your attentions elsewhere when
Daisy Lowe and the Agent Provacteur models hit the mirrored runway at the launch of the brand's new eau de parfum, called
Diamond Dust. However, true to form, my eyes were on the gorgeous hair as the girls sported ultra feminine curls designed to compliment all the womanly curves on show.
Hair maestro and
best mate of Kate Moss, James Brown was the man behind the look, referencing the Russ Meyer films of the '70s to create big sexy curls. He says, "Think Jerry Hall in the seventies, when her hair was big, big, big."

While next spring is looking to be all about
slicked-back 20's hair, low ponytails and
oversize braids if
London Fashion Week is anything to go by, this season is about laid back waves and textured hair styles. Whether you prefer it disheveled or perfectly groomed; wavy hair is back on our radar.
At
Preen's autumn/winter show the girls had gloriously unkempt hair, while at Tommy Hilfiger and
DKNY, (pictured), waves were ultra groomed and pristine, as though the models were 40's glamour girls.

No, I don't shake up a martini every morning, but I do make a cocktail of sorts during my daily getting-ready routine.
Throughout my time in the beauty scene, I've chatted with hairdressers galore and makeup artists aplenty. So, check out this list to see which professional beauty tidbits become such favorites, I now use them every single day:
- Cocktail hour — To get the results I want from my hairstyle, I mix up a "cocktail" of two to three hair products while my hair is damp.

Everyone has a few quick, two-minute hairstyles that we throw together when we're running late. But few of mine look as cute as this one. While backstage at the
Karen Walker Spring 2009 show, I spotted
Teen Vogue Beauty Assistant Maura Lynch sporting this cool twist on braids.
