The
recessive economy has made unemployment a new experience for many workers in 2008, and pounding the pavement in search of a new job means interviews are inevitable. Job interviews are the ultimate at putting job hunters on-the-spot, so props to you interviewees for holding your own in front of hiring managers and potential bosses. Whether you rocked them or not, how many job interviews did you go on during 2008?

This week, I got to spend a few minutes of phone time with
Grey's Anatomy's newest regular cast member, Kevin McKidd. His Dr. Owen Hunt — er, that's McArmy to me — is bringing brooding back to Seattle Grace as a war veteran who's seen some dark times in the field.

Between the House/Cuddy kiss, the train wreck that is Thirteen, and the rekindling of the House/Wilson bromance, things are really getting good on
House these days. The show has some big things planned for sweeps and beyond, and executive producer Katie Jacobs kindly hopped on a conference call with reporters last week to help sort out some of the things to come. Here are some highlights of what she shared:
- On the "unorthodox" love affair of House and Cuddy: "You’re right to say "unorthodox," and at the same time, I think it’s probably more real than any other love relationship on TV insofar as relationships are complicated.

Welcome back,
Twilight fans, for part two of my interview with Rob Pattinson, who plays dreamboat vampire Edward Cullen in the upcoming film adaptation of the popular book. Several of you

Hey,
Twilight fans! It's hard to believe the week of Twilight's big movie release has arrived. After spending some time with the young actor who's about to rocket to stardom playing the too-handsome-for-this-earth vampire, Edward, I'm curious to see this story come to life on screen.

Here at Sugar UK we were lucky enough to attend
Get Lippy's fab party last night, alongside some of reality TV's hottest hunks! PopUK favourite Stuart Pilkington from Big Brother 9 chatted about how he's releasing his own makeup range for men at the beginning of next year, and was happy to receive a makeover. Stu's BB9 housemate Dale Howard was also at the party, and revealed that he's bringing out his own aftershave at the end of this year, along with the obligatory calendar.

Networking to find work is an invaluable tool, but after you've networked your way in to an interview you're often on your own. A few unanswered emails and replies that the company has decided to go in another direction is enough to put a job seeker into a state of frustration, but your network could come in to play once again after you've been brushed off by a potential employer. Find out how when you .

Last night I attended the
National Television Awards to get all the gossip from the myriad of TV stars that attended! It was a chilly night outside the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the ladies
in their glam frocks were rushing down the red carpet to get in from the cold. One person who took her time though, was Davina McCall.

Job hunting is a process more people are having to go through as companies undergo big layoffs in the face of a challenged economy. It's competitive out there and the little details matter more with crowded applicant pools. Make your case stronger by showing up prepared — check for these five items before you head out the door.
