Fearne Cotton was exposed to the elements last night as she left Radio One. Rain and wind battered London so dressing was not an easy task! Fearne knows how to keep warm though as she wrapped up in her houndstooth coat and grey cardigan. 
Radio One DJ Fearne Cotton is no stranger to the High Street regularly impressing us with her on-trend budget looks. A few weeks ago she was spotted leaving the BBC in a rather snug houndstooth coat and today we can reveal that she got it from Miss Selfridge! The slouchy cocoon coat (£75) is great for the colder months either for smart, formal wear (just team with an black dress) or for casualwear as Fearne demonstrates.

As there are so many events to glam up for there are plenty of dresses and metallic tones. 
Fearne Cotton hosted the BBC's underage music festival BBC Switch Live over the weekend at the Hammersmith Apollo. The Radio One DJ stuck to a monochrome palette for her ensemble which included sparkly ankle socks over her tights (how amazingly '90s). She also wore a cute pair of lace-up ankle boots which added edge to her look. 
Over the weekend both Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal wore Fendi over-the-knee boots to a party in Paris and yesterday I asked you who wore them better. Whilst you were mainly left divided it confirmed the footwear's status as the boot of the season despite the slightly-hefty £730 price tag.

Following New York Fashion Week, fashion editors were heralding the return of the skirt, particuarly after Marc Jacobs appeared in an a-line skirt at a party.
Whilst I love skirts, the main problem is that they take more thought to wear than dresses, since you also have to coordinate them with a top. You could only imagine how happy I was to discover the rise of the two-for-one dress in which a skirt and a top are sneakily sewn together! 
Lily Allen was spotted out near her home in North London earlier in the week. She was wearing a Miss Selfridge grey leopard print dress with a long cardigan and her trademark masculine trainers. She was also carrying around her favourite YSL handbag. I like the way that Lily makes dresses look casual with flat shoes and simple accessories. 
As we see the return of separates in the fashion world this trend merges with the architectural vibe to create the tulip skirt. Pencil skirts are a wardrobe essential but tulip skirts make the look a bit edgier and are often more flattering. They feature exaggerated detail on the hips which hides a multitude of sins!
