This weekend, I'm going wedding dress shopping with my bf. As her bridesmaid, it's my duty to help her find that perfect wedding dress. We have appointments lined up all day so help me find a cunning and comfortable outfit. My arms will be loaded with wedding dresses so hook me up with a hands-free bag, please.

Laurie Mee and Carrie Siegel, the co-owners of Two Trick Pony, create delightful card designs that are screen-printed by hand on 100 percent post-consumer waste recycled paper with water-based inks. I love the retro look of their designs, and the straightforward perfection in the cards' sentiments.

Since I'm in the middle of writing thank-you cards to our wedding guests, my eye was particularly drawn to these thank-you cards ($16 for six cards and envelopes). They're graced with a simple, pretty design rendered in perfect Autumnal shades. I find that everyone appreciates a thank-you card now and then, be it for a dinner party or a random act of kindness. Dear DrSugar,
I am getting married and going on my honeymoon in less than a month. Yay! I just got diagnosed with a stress fracture of the inferior pubic ramus, presumably from too much running. Boo! My doc told me to limit my exercise to swimming or the arm cycle machine at the gym for at least the next four weeks. My concern is, since it is that my pubic bone that has the stress fracture, will I be able to have sex with my fiancé/husband or will that hurt the bone too?

You Asked: Should We Un-Invite Them to Our Wedding?

Dear Sugar,

I got engaged last November, and our wedding is set for Oct. 18. Last March, my fiancé's company was bought out by a corporation and in early April, the entire office was shut down unexpectedly. He was out of work until July when he was hired by a small independent technology company (and by small, I mean a total of seven employees). He was having a great time for the first few months; he really enjoyed his new boss, co-workers and responsibilities. During that time, we were writing out our wedding guest list and to be friendly, we invited his new co-workers and their significant others. A few months later, he became really unhappy with the company as a whole and is at the point now where he's going to apply elsewhere. If he finds something, he may quit before the wedding. So my question is this: if he does quit before the wedding, how do we handle his current co-workers that have RSVP'd yes? Do we un-invite them? Do we tell them that we still want them there but we understand if they change their minds? I have no idea how to handle this, so any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated. — About to Wed Wendy

This Just In: Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler Tie Knot in SF

In Love and Marriage, Do Traditional Titles Matter?

The overturning of the ban on same-sex marriage in California has changed many lives and simultaneously sparked a slew of arguments. In fact, as reported by the Sacramento Bee, a recently wed couple — Rachel Bird and Gideon Codding — are starting their own debate over the wording of the new gender-neutral marriage license, which has changed the traditional reference of Bride and Groom to Party A and Party B.

Bird offered her own explanation, saying: "We are traditionalists — we just want to be called bride and groom," and for this couple, anything else is unacceptable; they refuse to sign the license as-is. The article also mentions that this particular fight is a personal one, rather than religious. But whatever the motivation for standing their ground, I find the attachment to these two words interesting. They do represent tradition and their cultural significance is vast, but are they truly necessary? When it comes down to it, do these types of traditional titles matter to you and your relationship?

Between a struggling economy and inflated prices on anything wedding-related, it's almost essential to channel creativity in saving money while planning for the big day. One company has formed their entire business based on the idea that most couples are unwilling to sacrifice the wedding cake but are adhering to a budget that may not allow for an elaborate concoction. Cake Rental claims its services are elegant and economical — a three tier cake can be rented for $150. The rental cake is not for eating, rather it is simply on display when the couple feeds each other and then is taken to the kitchen. Guests are handed slices from a regular sheet cake kept out of view. Most of you said that cakes aren't a disposable wedding expense, but do you think this is a good alternative for those looking to spend less on their wedding day? Source
